Maintenance Tips

Properly preserved insect specimens can last a life time, if properly cared for, and many collections are passed down generation to generation. Please keep the lid of your insect box closed at all times, and only clean the outside of the case. The biggest culprit in damage to insect displays is humidity so make sure to keep your art away from bathrooms, or other damp environments. Avoid exposing your collection to direct sunlight for long periods. If you can, for maximum maintenance, place your box in a freezer for a couple of days every coupe of years, this will help preventing parasites.
