Our Story

Studio Hasharat began with a childhood trip to Egypt — and a beetle. The scarab had been sacred there for thousands of years, a symbol of protection and renewal, and something about that idea never left.

That instinct grew into a practice. Each piece we make is assembled by hand in New York, using ethically sourced specimens and antique or bespoke hand-blown glass — some of them over a century old. The result sits somewhere between natural history and decorative art, between the cabinet of curiosities and the contemporary interior.

Our work is carried by Creel & Gow in New York, Isles Studios in Minneapolis, and Wentworth by GBS in Charleston — stores that share our belief that the most interesting objects are the ones with a story behind them.
